Our experience has shown that the key to our success has been the engagement of people in picking up and applying the lean tools in a fully committed and dedicated manner.  Without engaged people the tools (binders, training programs etc.) simply sit on the shelf or are quickly forgotten. 
Lean Leadership Tools is a training program that teaches supervisors how to engage their people in applying lean, continuous improvement tools as part of their day-to-day job.  Everyone can learn to be a lean watchdog and champion through this approach: 

• Supervisors learn to engage and facilitate work unit involvement
• Employee groups learn to solve problems and implement improvements
• Everyone is motivated, committed and feels good about themselves

The program has 4 core components:

• Supervisor style training to ensure consistency and support
• Supervisor training in lean leadership principles and tools
• Work unit training in working together to apply the lean methods
• Supervisor coaching to ensure effective application of the tools
